Recipe: Lavender Herb Butter
This recipe can be used for many dishes. My favorite way to use Lavender Herb Butter is on pan fried steaks, and any meat dishes. The subtle floral taste blends well with the savory herbs and meats, and is different enough to make you feel like you're at a 5 star restaurant!
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of your choice of unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp dried culinary lavender
- 1/2 tsp dried herbs de Provence (or other herbs of your choice)
Directions:
Combine lavender and herbs into mortar and grind with pestle until very fine.
Combine butter and ground herbs and lavender in food processor and blend until smooth.
Spoon onto a sheet of cellophane wrap and mold into a log. Store in refrigerator.
Slice like regular butter and use on toast or when cooking or frying meats, eggs, and veggies, as well as baking and anything else you would use salted butter for.
You can even scoop it into a sleeve and pipe it into a ramekin for a pretty addition to any dish.
